Backpack Buddies is an organization supporting BC families and children by helping put food on the table everyday. They help fill the hunger gap - a time when children go without the support of school breakfasts and lunch programs - by providing meals and snacks for the weekend directly to those who need them. Donations are always kept local, which means every donation supports children in our community.

          Backpack Buddies coordinates with teachers, administrators and social workers who advises them on the needs of their students and those who could benefit most from their services. One bag of food includes nine meal items including, fresh fruit and snacks, ready-to-eat, non-perishables and familiar foods - enough to last the weekend, if not more. Last year alone, Backpack Buddies delivered 49,000 backbacks of foods to children across BC and we look forward to supporting local families and this fantastic organization.
